Cozero secures EUR6.5million Series A funding to revolutionise climate ERP solutions

Cozero, a leading climatetech software company honoured with the German Sustainability Award, has successfully closed a EUR6.5m Series A funding round. The investment was led by Kvanted Ventures and EnBW New Ventures (ENV), with additional support from NewAleha Asset Management, alongside notable business angels and advisors from the logistics, manufacturing and SaaS sectors. Renowned figures such as Henrik Larsen (former CPO of Maersk) and Gero Decker (co-founder of Signavie) as well as existing business angels including Torben Schreiter (co-founder of Signavie) and André Christ (founder of LeanlX) contributed to the round. The Series A funding will propel Cozero’s global expansion efforts and further develop its climate ERP solution, a cutting-edge emission-management software trusted by industry giants such as Maersk, Nippon Express Europe (NX Group) and DMG MORI to effectively monitor and mitigate corporate carbon emissions.

Despite the growing emphasis on sustainability, a staggering 91% of companies admit to inadequate measurement of their carbon emissions, while only 26% of those disclosing their carbon footprint through initiatives such as the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) in 2022 had science-based targets approved with the SBTi. Cozero’s innovative software addresses these challenges by offering comprehensive features to measure, report and reduce Scope 1-3 emissions, enabling over 70 enterprise customers to align environmental progress with business objectives. With a portfolio boasting 375m tonnes of CO2 emissions under management (EuM), Cozero sets a new standard in carbon accounting and management. By integrating accounting, decarbonisation and reporting capabilities, Cozero’s climate ERP solution serves as a crucial tool for navigating regulatory complexities such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and ensuring compliance through precise reporting and actionable reduction plans. This successful funding round not only underscores the confidence of the investment community in Cozero, but also highlights growing global demand for robust corporate climate-management solutions and the need for international collaboration in fostering a sustainable future.
