About Jon
Jon O’Donnell has joined us as Chief Operating Officer. As part of Acuity’s Executive Committee, he works with senior leaders across strategic initiatives. Jon also oversees Acuity’s strategies, technology and digital solutions and legal aspects.
A proven business leader, Jon is passionate about applying technology to business practices and problems. Before joining Acuity, he worked with IBM, where he successfully led the Business & Technology Consulting and Cloud Consulting divisions (15,000 practitioners and $6bn annual turnover), delivering impressive market growth. For five years, he was also a member of IBM Consulting’s Global Leadership Team and held critical leadership positions in numerous markets, including the UK, EMEA and North America.
Jon has launched and led high-potential business units focused on technologies such as artificial intelligence and cloud platforms. He has delivered market growth and innovation while learning from challenges. His successes have been the outcome of deep commercial acumen and passion for client service. Jon is also passionate about people and their growth and has a positive leadership style. He leads by example, with a client-first mindset and a people-centric approach.
Jon has a degree in mathematics and operational research from Southampton University and is CIMA-qualified. A passionate mountaineer, orienteer and runner, he ran the 2022 Marathon Des Sables and has trekked at high altitudes in Nepal with his family for 15 consecutive years, once getting trapped on Everest for three days. Much of his weekend is spent on the touchline of muddy football pitches in support of his three sons.
