Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services supports Learning Links Foundation’s Math Enhancement Program
Gurgaon, 14 July, 2017 – Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services, a division of Moody’s Analytics, a leading research and analytics services provider, has announced its support of Learning Links Foundation’s (LLF) Math Enhancement Program. LLF is a Delhi-based not-for-profit organization which will implement the Math Enhancement Program in three government schools from South West Delhi.
The Math Enhancement Program, called ‘Math-e-Magic,’ is redefining math education through a fun-filled learning environment. The program was inaugurated on 14 July 2017 by the Honorable Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Mr. Manish Sisodia, at the SKV Government Senior Secondary School (GSS), Samalkha.
The program includes setting up a dedicated math lab in each school, equipped with math manipulatives that help students understand key concepts and develop a lifelong love for the subject. The school’s teachers are also provided with resources like activity plans, booklets, and worksheets to help them plan their instructional practices more efficiently.
“The teachers feel confident in the Math Enhancement Program because it is making a discernible difference to our students,” said Mrs. Surinder Kaur, Principal of SKV GSS Samalkha. Mrs. Kaur also cited the program’s unique learning methods, which allow students to use the school’s infrastructure as a resource and better understand real-life application of math concepts.
Inaugurating the Math Enhancement Program, Mr. Sisodia remarked, “It is a great initiative by Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services and LLF. The program helps teachers adopt new ways to facilitate math instruction that generate excitement among students and help them develop interest for the subject. We sincerely thank Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services and LLF once again for inspiring the new generation and giving them the tools they need to understand math concepts and enjoy it as well.”
Mr. Avadesh Dixit, Director, Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services, is equally proud of this project. “We aim to promote and nurture interest in mathematics among children and to help them understand that it forms the foundation for development of all skills. We are excited to build on this partnership with LLF and to provide ample opportunities for children to unleash their potential.”
Learning Links Foundation is one of the country’s leading NGOs. LLF works to improve learning levels, develop 21st century skills, and foster innovation in STEM fields among children in schools and communities.
“It is our endeavor to foster and nurture key skills among the younger generation,” said Dr. Anjlee Prakash, Chairperson of LLF. “We are proud to be part of this initiative and to help children develop skills that they need for the knowledge economy of tomorrow.”
