Acuity listed as the Best Company for Women in India and Champion in the Most Inclusive Companies Index in Avtar & Seramount

Bangalore, October 13, 2023 – Acuity Knowledge Partners is delighted to announce that it has been recognized as a 2023 Avtar & Seramount Best Company for Women in India and has achieved the esteemed status of a Champion in the Most Inclusive Companies Index. Avtar, which is India’s leading Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion solutions firm, along with Seramount, a professional services and research firm committed to building inclusive and high-performing workplaces in the United States. In 2023, the two firms conducted the eighth edition of the Best Companies for Women in India (BCWI) study. The study has become the most comprehensive gender analytics exercise in corporate India. More than 300 companies participated in each edition of the study, culminating in the alphabetical listing of the Top 10 and 100 Best Companies for Women.

The representation of gender diversity among the 100 Best Companies has been increasing steadily. In 2023, the average representation of women in all positions is 36.9%, up from 25% in 2016 when the study was first launched. The Top 10 companies have an even better average, with women's representation at 41.7%. At this rate, it's expected that the Best Companies will achieve a 50:50 gender balance by 2030, which is sooner than previously anticipated due to the repercussions of the pandemic. We should celebrate the progress made but also remain vigilant about the challenges that still exist.
