PM Newsletter

We welcome you to the first edition of our newsletter for 2024. After a challenging 2023, the sector is hoping for some respite from interest rates. As rates are expected to moderate in 2024, we observed a few positive movements in the first quarter such as the successful closure of some large funds by private equity, venture capital and private credit firms. The sector is preparing to comply with the new rules unveiled by SEC last year – a challenge that Acuity has been helping its private market clients to address for a long time. In private credit, we have strived for a wider view to encompass activities that can spurt growth. We are also witnessing green shoots in deal activities and a growing focus on ESG activities.

In addition, we have released our landmark Private Market Survey 2024 that comprehensively covers sentiments across the operational activities in the sector as well as environmental and ESG activities.

This newsletter is an extension of our efforts to keep you updated about the sector.

Decoding the use of ESG data for reporting – to proxy or not? The evolving data-erasure market
Blog Blog
The ESG reporting landscape is changing rapidly. Investors, analysts, businesses, lawmakers and other stakeholders use ESG data to comprehend and make well-informed decisions on risk, sustainability and business effectiveness.

The global datasphere is expected to expand significantly; data-erasure would, therefore, become more attractive in the effort to ensure the security of large amounts of data while keeping businesses environmentally friendly.
