CLIENT CHALLENGES
- The client is a Europe-based market-research (MR) firm and required assistance in conducting a healthcare study of diabetes patients in the US and Asia. The client needed to understand how the introduction of new technology influences healthcare delivery, drug prescription/use and its overall impact on diabetes patients and caregivers.
- Key areas in which the client sought insights:
- Patients’ engagement level in diabetes treatments
- Impact of new treatment plans on medication changes
- Impact of technological advancements on patients
- Key demographics and patients’/caregivers’ behaviour relating to technology
- Barriers and challenges with patients’/caregivers’ adoption of technology
OUR APPROACH
- We identified and recruited 30 diabetes patients and 30 caregivers via telephone for conducting in-depth interviews (IDIs) in the US, Singapore and India – 20 respondents per country. They were male and female, belonging to different age brackets.

- Assisted in designing the recruitment questionnaire and discussion guide

- Programmed recruitment survey based on qualitative discussion guide
- Completed fieldwork through online in-depth interviews
- Transcription and analysis:
- Basic data analysis, charts and graphs on secondary data
- Transcriptions and content analysis
