- The client wanted to understand the new opportunities across the value chain, track competition, perform various accounting and financial reporting functions and develop strategies.
OUR APPROACH
- Acuity acted as an extension of the client’s team in various functions – business development, strategy, accounting and finance. We:
- Helped the Business Development team in tracking competitors, creating a market database and updating Salesforce, capturing data from deals and financial spreading, assessing P&L and reconciling tax, creating a target screen for M&A and creating graphics and designs
- Supported the corporate’s strategy through the tracking of business and industry information, competition profiling and benchmarking, opportunity and threat analysis, KOL identification and primary research, sales intelligence and originating support, and ad hoc research
- Assisted the Accounting team through daily cash reporting, fortnight and monthly comparisons of cash reports, bank reconciliations, monthly production data input, review and calculation of business incentive bonuses, and month-end-close-related journal entries
- Supported the FP&A function through in-depth financial analysis, analysis of past results, variance analysis, data aggregation, analysis and reporting, creation of standard/ad hoc reports and dashboards, and development of automated reporting/budgeting tools
